Salary and Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
📘 Educational Qualification
To be eligible, candidates must have:

Pass in Technical High School Leaving Certificate (THSLC) with specialization in the relevant Smithy trade
OR -
SSLC / Matriculation pass with one of the following:

National Trade Certificate in Smithy
-
Kerala Government Certificate in Engineering (KGCE) in Smithy
-
Vocational Higher Secondary Certificate (VHSE) in Smithy
- Equivalent recognized technical certifications in forging and metal work
The selection is based on a competitive examination conducted by the Kerala PSC. The test consists of 100 marks and evaluates candidates on trade‑related knowledge and basic technical aptitude relevant to forging and heat treatment.
After the exam, a ranked list will be prepared based on candidates’ performance, and appointments will be made as per merit and category reservations. The ranked list remains valid for a minimum of one year and up to three years from the date of publication.
