The selection process for Kerala Administrative Tribunal recruitment typically includes the following stages:

  1. Notification & Online Application

The latest notification for this post was published in April 2022 under Category No. 082/2022. The application was invited in May 2022 by a unique registration system from PSC with a submission period. The following notice is expected at the end of 2025 based on the 3-year attitude cycle: 2026 exam.

How to Apply:

Candidates can apply online through the Kerala PSC official website using their One Time Registration (OTR) profile.

Steps to Apply:
  1. Visit www.keralapsc.gov.in.
  2. Log in using your PSC User ID and Password. 
  3. Click on the “Apply Now” link for the Kerala Administrative Tribunal post. 
  4. Upload required documents and a photograph.
  5. Submit the form and take a printout for reference.

  2. Written Examination

The written test is the first stage of the selection process. Candidates will be assessed on their general knowledge, language skills, thinking skills, and arithmetic skills will be assessed on their general knowledge, language skills, thinking  skills, and arithmetic skills.
      
Examination Process:

The selection process involves three stages:
  • Preliminary Exam: Common Degree Level PSC Prelims.
  • Main Test: 100 points OMR/online-based test for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • Negative Marking: 0.33 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

  • Document Check: Candidates must present their original certificate before the last day.

 3. Skill Test / Practical Test (if applicable)

For positions such as typist, confidential assistant, or computer assistant, candidates must qualify for a skills-based test, which assesses practical knowledge and writing/computer skills.

Example:

Typing Test: Malayalam/English Typing Speed ​​Verification.

Computer Test: Basic knowledge of MS Office, word processing, data entry, and spreadsheets.

Stenography Test: For Confidential Assistant Posts.

Only those candidates who qualify for the written test are invited to the skills test.

 4. Interview / Document Verification

After written and practical exams, shortlisted candidates will be invited for document verification and interview (if applicable).

Required documents:
  • Original educational certificate. 
  • Date of birth certificate (SSLC certificate).
  • Caste/community certificate (for reservation request).
  • Experience certificate (if required).
  • Identity certificate (Aadhaar, Voter ID Card, etc.).
During the interview round (if conducted), the following will be assessed:
  • Personality and communication skills.
  • Subject awareness.
  • Knowledge about current affairs and Kerala administration.
 5. Rank List & Appointment
 After going through all the stages, the Kerala PSC prepares the final ranking list based on the performance of the candidates in the written test, skill test, and interview.

  • Candidates are ranked in order of merit.
  • The ranked list remains valid for 1 year (extendable up to 3 years).
  • Appointments are made according to vacancy availability and reservation rules.
  • Selected candidates receive appointment orders under the Kerala Administrative Tribunal or other government offices as per posting.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. 
  • Age limit: 18-36 years old, with relaxation in categories OBC, SC, ST, and PWD. 
  • Further criteria: Candidates must be constant residents of Kerala and be registered as part of the PSC Amal Profile System.
